Here at Kramer Levin, our hearts go out to all of those adversely affected by Hurricane Sandy. Because so many residents and businesses need to repair the damage that has been caused by this unprecedented storm, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued a General Permit in order to facilitate the necessary repairs in coastal areas of Long Island, New York City and the lower Hudson Valley. read more

Last month, Governor Cuomo signed into law an extension of the availability of tax credits under the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program (“BCP”) from March 31, 2015 to December 31, 2015. Sites in the BCP that receive a certificate of completion from the Department of Environmental Conservation by December 31, 2015 will qualify for tax credits under the BCP. read more
